Arnaud VAN WAEYENBERGE is Assistant Professor of Law at HEC Paris where he teaches Company Law, EU Law and Global Law.

Prior to joining the HEC faculty, he was an attorney-at-law at the Brussels Bar (Clifford Chance LLP) and a legal clerk at the Court of Justice of the European Union (General Court).

He previously worked at the Université Libre de Bruxelles where he has taught, among others, Introduction to Law, European Law and Legal Theory. He was also researcher (FNRS) and deputy director of the Perelman Centre for Legal Philosophy.

During the last years, Van Waeyenberge’s research has been centred around (i) Internal Market of the European Union (ii)  legal remedies of the Court of Justice of the European Union and (iii) Global Law and New Forms of Normativity. He has published several books and articles on these topics.

Van Waeyenberge is secrétaire of the Collection "Penser le droit" (Bruylant) and a member of the editorial board of the Cahier de droit européen.

He is Vice-President of the International Association for Legal Methodology (IALM) and a member of the Belgian Society of Philosophy.

Originally from Belgium, Van Waeyenberge earned a Master's Degree (magna cum laude) from the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL), LLM degrees from European Academy for Legal Theory and the College of Europe, and a PhD in Law from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (awarded by the Seghers Prize).
