The purpose of this research is to understand how human resource management practices lead to the development of capital social in sustainable family business. The study is based on interviews in 12 firms among the largest french family business. The data analysis resulted in the identification of frequent and specific practices leading to the development of a family capital. Beyond this setting, we may wonder about the opportunity of adopting these practices to non-family business. The adoption of these values and principles in human resource management could enable the firm to regain its ability to create social cohesion
