Le numérique au service des entités dédiées à l'innovation de rupture

Several firms set up entities dedicated to foster breakthrough innovation. Based on the analysis of eight entities, we inductively characterized four types of activities carried out there. Then, based on the characteristics of digital tools, we show how they foster and enable these activities. We argue that digital tools reconcile creative divergence with the control of exploration cost and time. They help, as well, to overcome the distinction often made in the literature between different forms of organizational ambidexterity
