Sam AFLAKI is an assistant professor of operations management and information technology in HEC Paris. He holds a PhD in management from INSEAD. He received an MSc degree in industrial engineeringfrom Sharif University of Technology in Iran. Prior to his PhD studies Sam has worked in the energy sector as management consultant for large oil and gas projects.
Sam's current research focuses on sustainable operations management and incentive/contracting mechanisms for sustainability in supply chains, in particular in the energy field. Sam's research has been recognized in a number of INFORMS prestigious competitions including DAS and M&SOM best student paper awards.
Sam teaches supply chain management core course to Grande École students in HEC Paris.
