Claire Dambrin defended her Ph.D. in Management Control at University Paris-Dauphine in 2005. She teaches management accounting and management control.

Her main research interests deal with control at a distance in various contexts (organizations, virtual communities). More precisely, she studies technologies of control at a distance, their socio-institutional impact, and their outcomes such as self-regulatory behaviors. Overall, Claire Dambrin is interested in socio-institutional aspects of accounting and management control systems. Another part of her research deals with gender issues in the accounting profession.
