The HEC Foundation and its Involvement in Pedagogical Innovation

In 2010 the HEC Foundation dedicated more than 20 % of its budget, i.e., 1.2 million Euros, to teaching innovations. This sum was allocated to several areas: developing projects and teaching materials, enhancing teaching skills for professors (International Teachers Program, Harvard workshops, ECCH workshops, etc.), making the faculty more international, financing teaching assistants, and funding new technologies for teaching.

To meet the expectations of its students and partner companies, HEC Paris has to provide a modern campus and technology systems commensurate with international standards. The funding allocated to pedagogical innovation thus allows for the development of textbooks, case studies, simulation games and web sites as means for teaching.

Every year the HEC Foundation also awards the "Prize for Innovation in Teaching" to the faculty member who created the best new teaching material.
