Decision-making Sciences SIG

The Decision-making Sciences Scientific Interest Group is a research partnership between the HEC group, École Polytechnique, the National Schools of Economics and Statistics Group and the National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS); it was founded with the support of the Ministry of Research. The partnership is involved in research into individual, collective and strategic decision-making.

The aim is to develop links between, firstly, the fundamental disciplines, which are:

• les méthodes mathématiques et statistiques de la décision
• les méthodes logiques et philosophiques de la décision
• la théorie et l'étude expérimentale des risques et des choix
• la psychologie et la sociologie de la décision et de l'organisation

and, secondly, the management disciplines, which are:

• marketing
• company strategy
• market finance and financial accounting
• insurance, the actuarial profession and risk management.

The SIG coordinates and encourages the development of interdisciplinary research into decision-making and will give greater prominence to the research being carried out in Ile-de-France in this domain, particularly internationally.
