Jean-Noël Barrot is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Barrot holds an MA in quantitative economics and finance from the École Polytechnique, an MPhil in economics from the Paris School of Economics, and a PhD in financial economics from HEC Paris School of Management. Barrot conducts research in financial economics, with a focus on product market interactions. He is currently working on the formation of production networks and their implications, and on the consequences of import competition for the US economy.
