Laurent Calvet

Laurent E. Calvet is a professor of finance at EDHEC. He was research professor at HEC Paris from 2004 to 2016. A graduate of École Polytechnique, Calvet holds a Ph.D. in economics from Yale University, and  is a former associate professor of economics at Harvard University. In 2006 Calvet was awarded the best young researcher prize from Le Monde  and the Europlace Institute of Finance. His research on asset pricing, household finance and volatility modeling has appeared in the most prestigious economic and financial journals. Calvet will receive the HEC Foundation’s best scientific paper award  in December 2014.
