The SASI program helps students, regardless of prior work experience, develop multiple frameworks for incorporating environmental and social issues into every day business strategy.

I came to HEC Paris to immerse myself in a deep global network of business leaders and academics. Since I do not have a traditional ‘business-school’ background, SASI has been an opportunity for me to expand my worldview on how the business community make decisions and take action; the SASI courses challenge traditional norms of business operations and management, and focuses on radical strategies that redefine both the method and purpose for creating and capturing value.
I have been working in sustainability and energy consulting for the past few years, and I specialize in sustainable operations and management, and certifications within the wine industry. My studies at HEC Paris are furthering my consulting skills and approach, and building on my previous academic work in International Relations (B.A.) and Environmental Policy.

Creating business leaders with a passion for change

The SASI program helps students, regardless of prior work experience, develop multiple frameworks for incorporating environmental and social issues into every day business strategy. The program is not structured to create experts of finance, or accounting, but rather to provide students a wide context of sustainability issues. The knowledge gained through the courses can be applied in any type of traditional business role in finance, consulting, or strategy. The diversity of jobs held by the program’s alumni demonstrate how universal the skill set can be across any position or industry.

Career opportunities without limits

Personally, I hope to leverage my education at HEC Paris to work in consulting on sustainability issues, helping companies evaluate and improve their operations and management to align with social and environmental issues. Similarly, I believe that the SASI program has helped me develop the type of skills and knowledge where I could be as equally effective working within a company as a sustainability manager.

An extraordinary group of students

Upon my arrival, I was amazed and inspired by the remarkable students I would be sharing this year with. The diversity of backgrounds, experiences, and cultures creates constant opportunities to learn from peers, whether inside or outside of the classroom. The individual interests, and career aspirations vary significantly between students, but a common drive and ambition permeates our group. There is a strong collective desire to shape and drive new ideas and actions towards a more socially equitable and environmentally ethical way of doing business.
