Elyse Michaels-Berger serves as Director of Youth Leadership Initiative/Summer School Programs at HEC Paris where she appreciates the opportunity to work with leading professors on a palette of programs open to students from all horizons. A certified coach, Elyse specializes in leadership development. As Academic Co-Director of the 2018 HEC Paris Youth Leadership Initiative, she is enthusiastic about motivating and inspiring students to fulfill their leadership potential.
Elyse’s role with the Summer School builds on her previous experience at HEC, where she has served as Academic Director of the HEC MBA Program and before that as HEC MBA Development Manager. Prior to her experience at HEC, Elyse worked as a consultant with Accenture, where she specialized in executive coaching, leadership development, training and organizational design.
Elyse obtained her Masters degree in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University Teachers College and MBA from ESSEC. Elyse earned her coaching certification from the Coaches Training Institute. As a graduate of Princeton University, she serves as co-president of the Alumni Association of Princeton University in France. She also co-chairs the Princeton University Summer Service Fund which promotes student service projects. She formerly chaired the Princeton University Alumni Schools Committee of France.
Elyse regularly facilitates bilingual (French and English) leadership training workshops for educators and youth. In addition to her work at HEC Paris, she has designed and led personal development workshops for educators with ELSA (English Language Schools Association of France) as well as aspiring educators at the NYU Steinhardt School of Education. Elyse enjoys running leadership workshops for students from diverse backgrounds as demonstrated through her coaching work with non-profit student organizations in collaboration with the United States Embassy as well as the Canadian Embassy in France.
