The Careers Department is here to coach you and connect you with top recruiting companies worldwide. It will:

  • help you to effectively utilise the HEC Alumni network and connect with alumni who have had similar career paths to you
  • provide you with advice and support related to your specific target sector(s) and regular feedback on the success of your career plan
  • benefit from specific training on job search techniques, interviewing skills, networking skills, maximizing your impact on social media, and salary negotiation

Your career journey

The Careers Department has designed a 3-step approach aimed at helping our students explore their options, understand the job market and their personal priorities and give them all the tools necessary to achieve their goals. Starting with whichever stage is most relevant to you, each step corresponds to one overall objective: paving the journey to the career of your choice.

This structured and comprehensive journey will allow you to develop your soft skills and acquire the tools needed to find or create a job that is in keeping with your personal values and professional goals.

Know yourself

If you want to explore your career options, we have a tailored coaching program to support you. Through one-to-one appointments, Career and Corporate Development Managers help you develop your aspirations and give you advice to achieve them.

Know the market

The Careers department organizes sector-focused events to give you an understanding of the different career options available, which includes the opportunity to meet HEC alumni. These unique events enable you to connect directly with representatives of a variety of career areas: Finance, Consulting, Marketing, etc.

Match yourself to the market

One of the strengths of HEC Paris is the privileged connections it has established with the business community. HEC Paris has created 19 research chairs and centers with major international companies such as Kering, LVMH, L’Oréal Paris, Deloitte, Danone, Société Générale, and many others.

All its corporate partners are actively involved in HEC Paris’ life, more notably through their participation in various recruitment forums but also through workshops and conferences hosted on campus. The Careers Department provides solid support to prepare students for these events, in order to maximize your internship and job opportunities.

The Careers Department also organizes other events throughout the year in order to maximize networking and employment opportunities: company presentations, seminars, conferences, round tables, mock interviews with recruiters, career fairs (see below), alumni panels...

Career fairs on campus

Numerous career fairs are organized on campus throughout the academic year. They are invaluable events that see hundreds of companies gather to present their industries and hire HEC students and graduates.

Carrefours HEC

The biggest career fair that takes place on campus, which attracts over 100 international companies in January. Hailing from a variety of sectors and countries, they seek to meet HEC students and recent graduates to offer them internships and jobs. About 50 start-ups also take part in Les Carrefours  , searching for highly skilled and motivated new recruits to develop their business.

This unique event provides students with direct and concrete information on different sectors and industries along with future career moves: jobs, work placements, internships, and projects.

Thanks to this comprehensive range of services, students get relevant insights into the job market as well as advice on their career.

Legal and Fiscal Forum

Since 2002, HEC Paris has hosted the Legal and Fiscal Forum in order to facilitate the connections between students and the most prestigious law firms.
