    Founded in 1984, China Vanke Co is a Chinese leader in real-estate after more than 30 years of development since it entered the market in 1988, and its businesses mainly include real-estate development and property service. Adopting a strategy of focusing its development in urban or metropolitan areas, Vanke established its presence in 65 cities in mainland China up to 2014, mainly in the Guangzhou-Shenzhen region centered on the Pearl River Delta, the Shanghai Region centered on the Yangtze River Delta, the Beijing Region centered on the Bohai Sea Ring, and the Chengdu Region composed of major cities in Midwest China. Since 2013, it has attempted overseas investments and is currently involved in six real-estate development projects in Hong Kong, Singapore, Los Angeles, and New York City. Its 2014 sales amounted to RMB215.13 billion for 18.064 million square meters, making it an industry leader globally in terms of sales. It conducts its property service business mainly through Vanke Property Development Co., Ltd. (Vanke Property), which has the mission to provide first-class property service and building maintenance. By the end of 2014, Vanke Property had 457 property service projects in 61 large-/medium-sized cities in mainland China, covering a contractual property management area of 10.340 million square meters.

  • HEC Paris' Society & Organizations (SnO) Center and HEC Alumni are pleased to announce the theme for their annual conference:

    Alliances for Cities in Transition

    Cities faced with an urgent, massive and wicked  challenge: to achieve carbon neutrality while ensuring the inclusion and empowerment of all their citizens. To wicked challenges, complex solutions: transitioning to new city models will not be achieved without the persistent and convergent mobilization of all actors: citizens and the civil society, public, private, investors, researchers...

    HEC Paris sheds light on multi-actor initiatives that aim to build the sustainable, inclusive and resilient cities of tomorrow.
    Join us on October 19 to exchange on the following questions:

    • What is our shared vision for future cities?
    • What are the models of multi-stakeholder collaboration that could maximize impact?
    • Which business models and funding tools will enable this transition?
    • … And what about HEC Paris’ territorial footprint?
