The challenge of scaling up: Conversation with 4 exceptional entrepreneurs coming from the Philippines

Camille Meloto, R&D and Marketing director, Human Nature, Fabien Courteille, founder Plush& Play and Louis Faure, HEC student & GK Enchanted farm, will be together with Antonio Meloto, in what promises to be an inspiring evening.

  • Antonio Meloto is CEO and founder of Gawad Kalinga (GK), a humanitarian organization whose fight is to eradicate poverty in the Philippines. Their philosophy is one of building empowered, united communities to ensure long-term, sustainable development. Their work is recognized worldwide, and ‘Tito Tony’ has won numerous international awards including the 2012 Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship, and the 2012 Entrepreneur for the World Award at the World Entrepreneurship Forum in Lyon.
    In 2010, GK launched the Centre for Social Innovation (CSI) to serve as an incubator for young social entrepreneurs in the Philippines, inspiring local and international businesses to create jobs.
    To date, GK-CSI has incubated several successful social enterprises. Among them, Human Nature where Camille Meloto is R&D and Marketing director (company specializing in organic cosmetics, no. 1 in the industry in the Philippines for six years); Plush& Play founded by Fabien Courteille (entreprise making plush toys), and a brand new poultry farm launched by an HEC student Louis Faure at GK Enchanted farm.

Africa Days 2017: Africa – Land of Entrepreneurial Initiatives

"Africa – Land of Entrepreneurial Initiatives" will be the central theme of AfricaDays@HECParis, which takes place from 15 to 17 May 2017 on the HEC Paris campus.


  • Three evenings of discussion and debate to answer the challenges and opportunities presented by the Africa of the future. The overarching theme will be that of the entrepreneurial dynamism of the continent and its diaspora.

    Leaders, entrepreneurs, bankers, economists and experts from the continent, as well as young startups from all walks of life, will come to demonstrate their commitment to the development of Africa. They will also shed light on new entrepreneurial trends and the keys to their success.
    Africa Days will also be an opportunity to gather the significant partnership ecosystem of HEC Paris, and focus on the three new strategic areas for the development of HEC Paris outlined by Dean Peter Todd - Entrepreneurship, Digital Transformation and Social Responsibility. All three are key areas of development for the African continent.
    ​Accompanying these determined entrepreneurs and innovative initiatives, Africa Days @HECParis can act as a platform for growth for all those who wish to contribute to the Africa of the 21st Century.

Netexplo Forum 2017

  • The Netexplo Forum is the annual event on global digital innovation at UNESCO House, Paris.
