Inspiring The Next Generation Of female Business Leaders with MBAs

businessbecause.com, 27 January 2014

Gender equality still remains a problem in the world of business. According to "Catalyst", a non-profit dedicated to expanding opportunities for women in business, only 4% of the Fortune 500 chief executives are female. With this in mind, Forté is holding a "European Business Leadership Summit for Women" this month in London and Paris to promote gender equality in business and the value of an MBA. Top speakers at the event include Darci Darnell, partner at Bain & Company. Forté have also set up a foundation, "Forté Fellows program" which offers an MBA scholarship to help women with the financial burdens of an MBA. The foundation’s aim is to see 20% of the Fortune 500 board comprised of women by 2020. So far, sponsor schools include HEC Paris, IE Business School and LBS, who have given approximately 45 million dollars to more than 2,300 female MBA students.
