"HEC DAY at Tsinghua" on September 25 : Deans celebrate 10 years of cooperation, "Global vision of Chinese firms" Forum

Tsinghua's School of Economics and Management (SEM) and HEC Paris jointly celebrated the 10th anniversary of their cooperation on September 25.

The day of the anniversary was called "HEC Day at Tsinghua", when faculty members, students from both Tsinghua SEM and HEC Paris, and representatives from the French Embassy in Beijing gathered at the SEM to review the fruitful achievements made by these two leading business schools in China and Europe during their decade of cooperation.

The cooperation of Tsinghua SEM and HEC Paris began in 1998. During the past decade, the two schools have carried out extensive cooperation in such fields as faculty and student exchange, academic collaboration, and MBA/EMBA education as well as an executive development program. One of the featured cooperative endeavors, called the "Advanced Management Program in Fashion and Luxury ," began in 2006 and has graduated three classes. The latest cooperative venture between the two schools is the "10,000 Women Initiative Programme " sponsored by Goldman Sachs. Courses in the program are jointly developed and taught by outstanding members of the faculties of the Tsinghua SEM and HEC Paris.

The Forum of “the Global Vision of Chinese Multinationals” was held on the afternoon of “HEC Day at Tsinghua”, where Mr. Hubert Testard, Minister Counsellor of French Embassy to China; Professor Xie Weihe, Vice President of Tsinghua University and Professor Qian Yingyi, Dean of Tsinghua SEM delivered addresses at the forum.

Renowned experts from industry and academia including Wu Yibin, Managing director of the Legend Holdings; Professor Jean-Paul Larçon, Senior Associate Dean of HEC Paris; and David Daokui Li, Director of China Center in the World Economy delivered speeches at the forum.
