HEC Paris Tops Global Table in The Economist’s Maiden Master in Management Rankings

The Economist  ranked HEC Paris’ Master in Strategic Management a world-beater in its ranking of MiM programs around the world. The business school is the only establishment to be accorded the top “A” band in a ranking where the British magazine judges on factors as diverse as open career opportunities, faculty quality, potential to network, student diversity and education experience. The bands are represented by grades from A to E based on quintiles according to overall scores.

HEC Paris topped 40 numerically ranked schools dotted around the planet.The data from two surveys sent to schools and their students and alumni were analyzed for the ranking. The weekly magazine asked for data on a wide range of topics such as academic quality and graduates’ income.

The Economist ’s methodology combs through 18 different metrics. HEC Paris came out top in the following metrics: number of industry sectors recruiting graduates; percentage of graduates with a job offer three months after graduating; percentage of fulltime faculty with a PhD; student/alumnus faculty rating; student/alumnus rating of culture and classmates; student/alumnus rating of program content; languages on offer; ratio of alumni to current students.
