HEC Paris in Qatar celebrates its new graduates at HBKU Convocation 2014

HEC Paris in Qatar, a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), held its graduation ceremony as part of Convocation 2014 hosted by Hamad bin Khalifa University (HBKU) on Tuesday, 6 May at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC).

The welcome speech was delivered by His Excellency Sheikh Abdulla bin Ali Al-Thani, Ph.D., President of Hamad bin Khalifa University and Vice President of Education at Qatar Foundation, to presidents, deans, faculty and staff of partner universities, as well as QF staff, family, members of the Qatari community, and other distinguished guests. He also presented the graduates with commemorative convocation rings.

This event, a high point in the Education City academic calendar, saw 36 participants from the Executive MBA and 46 participants from the Specialized Master in Strategic Business Unit Management graduate from HEC Paris in Qatar. Although each university holds its own graduation ceremony, HBKU Convocation 2014 brought together undergraduate and postgraduate students from all universities across Qatar Foundation. It was held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development.

This was the seventh convocation - 3rd convocation for HEC Paris- to be held for the universities within Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development. Students were honored for their achievements before walking through a symbolic door that represents their entrance into a promising future.
