HEC Paris stars in the new Apple advert for the iPad 2

After having been one of the first business schools in Europe – and the first in France- to have created its iTunes U space to share its knowledge in March 2010, HEC Paris has been selected to star in the advert for the iPad 2, broadcast all summer across all the French television channels.

This is a great sign of recognition for the HEC Paris iTunes U project, motivated by a strong will for openness, for innovation and for educational excellence.

With lessons, conferences and research on topics as varied and strategic as social business, sustainable development, financeCSR, communications, marketing, risk regulation and philosophy, HEC Paris’ iTunes U today offers more than 400 academic audio and video files (in both French and English). Some of these are amongst the most downloaded in the world.

For many months now Pascal Quiry’s course on financial analysis has been the first most downloaded podcast in France amongst the selection of contents available on iTunes U. The second is also an HEC video, Kristine De Valck’s “Web 2.0 Marketing Communication,” which stayed in the top 10 most downloaded podcasts in the world for more than ten months. In the Mathematics category, Xavier Boute’s video, “Statistiques pour la décision,” is also at the top of the download chart. The “Workshop on Regulation” by Professor Alberto Alemanno, who was recently awarded the prestigious Jean Monnet Chair, is one of the most popular videos in the category of Law. Last but not least, amongst the last few files to have been put online you can now find the video of the "Third Paris Spring Corporate Finance Conference", organized on the 19th and 20th May last year by Ulrich Hege, Professor of Finance and holder of the FBF Chair in Corporate Finance.
