21 June 2011

Today HEC Paris welcomes Ashoka changemakers’ Campus as part of the annual Ashoka Changemakers’ week, which this year celebrates its 30th anniversary.

The event will unite 1,300 leading social entrepreneurs, change agents, opinion leaders, politicians and media players on the HEC Paris campus over two days for a series of interactive and action-oriented sessions. The heart of the Changemakers’ Campus will focus on accelerating social change in Europe and will encourage invitees to imagine and design new solutions to 12 pressing European social issues for lasting social change.

Ashoka is the global association of the world’s leading social entrepreneurs—men and women with system changing solutions for the world’s most urgent social problems. The aim of Ashoka changemakers’ week, which began on 16th June in Paris, is threefold: to inspire and engage citizens around the innovative social entrepreneurship sector; to spread Social Entrepreneurship as a key strategy to solve pressing social problems; to invent and scale up solutions thanks to impactful social-business collaborations of a new genre.
