Julien Schmitt, PhD from HEC Paris, won the 2009 Best Dissertation Award

For the second year running, a PhD student from HEC Paris has been awarded for the quality of his doctoral dissertation.

Julien Schmitt, PhD from HEC Paris and assistant professor of marketing at Loughborough University, won the 2009 Best Dissertation Award given jointly by FNEGE and the Association Française du Marketing for his marketing dissertation titled: "Parcours, déplacement et actions face au rayon : mieux comprendre le comportement physique du consommateur en magasin pour mieux comprendre ses achats".

Christophe Terrasse, PhD from HEC Paris, had won a similar price last year: the ""IN VIVO Award for Marketing Research" awarded by Marketing Directors for his dissertation titled: “ Is there attachment to private labels ? Of what kind ?”.
