Nobel Prize Winner speaks at HEC Paris

Dr Rajendra K. Pachauri will today give a conference for the entire HEC community on “Responding to Climate Change: The Role of Business”.

Dr Pachauri shares the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize with Former Vice President Al Gore, as Chair of the Nobel Peace Prize-winning Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Dr Pachauri is also Director General of TERI and of Yale Climate and Energy Institute.

He is a prominent researcher on environmental subjects, recognized internationally for his efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change.

Bernard Ramanantsoa, Dean of HEC Paris says “Dr Pachauri embodies values which are critical in facing the world’s development. His international scope, his spirit of innovation, leadership and entrepreneurship are very important values that we share at HEC .”

HEC affirms its commitment to social and environmental responsibility by naming Dr. Rajendra K Pachauri Honoris Causa Professor.
