Professor Compagnon named Honoris Causa Professor

On Monday 10th September, HEC Paris took the pleasure in welcoming Antoine Compagnon to deliver the annual inauguration speech to the new students of HEC Paris.

During the event, Professor Compagnon was named Honoris Causa Professor. Antoine Compagnon has had a wide range of educational experience; starting as a qualified engineer from ‘Ponts et Chaussés’, to teaching literature as a professor at La Sorbonne (Paris IV) and Columbia (New York).

In a crowded auditorium, Pr. Compagnon lectured around 200 students about the importance of literature, emphasizing what it means to us today in both in excellence and in business. At the end of his lecture, Pierre Dussauge, Dean of Faculty and Research, dedicated a vibrant speech to Compagnon’s career encouraging each HEC student to follow Compagnon’s path.
