14 December 2012

At the CEMS Graduation and Awards Ceremony 2012 that took place in St Gallen (Switzerland) on December 1st, three HEC Professors were awarded by the CEMS Community for their teachings. HEC Paris has also been ranked #2 CEMS School of the Year. A combined ranking that evaluates both the academic excellence as well as the services provided.

HEC Paris Professor Oliver Gottschalg - CEMS Graduation 2012

Each year, the CEMS students evaluate their professors towards the end of the program in order to grant 9 prizes to those who have taught the best courses and that have contributed the most to their "learning spirit".

Elie Matta, Associate Professor of Management and Human Resources, won the CEMS Cross Cultural Management Course of the Year (AY 2011-2012) for “Managing Global Complexity” due to an outstanding evaluation of 4.9 out of 5. It is the second time that Elie Matta is the recipient of that award as he already won for the AY 2009- 2010.

Cyrille Chevrillon, honorary Affiliate Professor and Oliver Gottschalg, Associate Professor, both at the Strategy and Business Policy department - were awarded the CEMS Strategy Course of the Year (AY 2011-2012) for “Management Buyouts” after receiving the score of 4.8 out of 5.  According to them, this price shows the students are interested in their work and their teachings; but it also shows that the HEC PRIVATE EQUITY OBSERVATORY has a real impact.

The HEC Private Equity Observatory – Buyout Center, chaired by Oliver Gottschalg and supported by Cyrille Chevrillon conducts research on investment logics and value creation mechanisms of private investors. It is sponsored by Abenex Capital, Astorg, Chevrillon & Associés, IDI Group, Messier Maris, Roland Berger, SJ Berwin, Weil and Axa Private Equity.
