HEC Paris in Qatar celebrates newest batch of graduates of EMBA program - HEC Paris 2013

HEC Paris in Qatar – the region’s leading hub for Executive Education offering a complete portfolio of management programs – celebrated the latest batch of graduates of their EMBA program at a Convocation Celebration held at the Qatar National Convention Center.

The distinguished ‘class of 2013’ comprising 44 participants, included four CEO’s from the Qatar Credit Bureau, Coastal Group of Companies, King Abdullah Medical City and KAMCO, and a COO from Consolidated Gulf Company as well as other high-ranking public and private sector managers.

The Gala Dinner event hosted by HEC Paris in Qatar also brought together top business executives to celebrate the success not only of the 44 HEC Paris in Qatar EMBA graduates but also of 61 participants from Qatar Leadership Center and Ooredoo who have participated in customized talent development programs, uniquely designed by HEC Paris in Qatar.

Those who gave their heartfelt thanks and congratulatory messages to the participants included Professor Bernard Ramanantsoa, Dean of HEC Paris; Professor Laoucine Kerbache, CEO and Academic Dean of HEC Paris in Qatar; and Stéphane Michel, Managing Director, Total E&P Qatar and Group Representative.

The Guest of Honor and Main Speaker at the event was Mr. Akbar Al-Baker, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways.

“We are indeed proud to have such a distinguished batch of participants and congratulate them for completing our EMBA course,” said Prof. Bernard Ramanantsoa, Dean of HEC Paris. “We wish them all well as they continue on with their successful careers, now better equipped to face the challenges of a demanding and fast-paced global business and economic environment.

“We also wish to thank Qatar Foundation, under the inspired leadership of Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, for its dedication towards education that will fuel the further development of a knowledge-based economy in Qatar,” Prof. Ramanantsoa added.

For his part, Prof. Kerbache commented: “HEC Paris in Qatar has undoubtedly attracted the crème de la crème of business executives and government officials as evidenced by this year’s list of participants. In our short history so far in Qatar, such an illustrious list of participants is testament to the trust and confidence that top business executives have in HEC Paris in meeting their requirement for Executive Education. I congratulate them all for their achievement and look forward to them achieving even more in their respective careers as they bring with them additional knowledge, skills and expertise that only HEC Paris can provide.”

Apart from the speeches and presentation of gifts to HEC Executive MBA graduates by Prof. Ramanantsoa and Prof. Kerbache, the event also included entertainment numbers such as the visually captivating Bespoke Pixel Poi Performance and traditional Qatari dance.

With a 130-year history of excellence, HEC Paris joined Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) in June 2010. According to the influential UK-based Financial Times media group, HEC Paris has been ranked as one of the top Business Schools in Europe since 2006, and was ranked second in the world for Executive Education in 2012.
