New partnership between Togo’s public and private sectors and HEC Paris

Their visit marked the official launch of a training program for more than 9,000 Togoleseadministrative officers designed by the professors of HEC Paris Executive Educationcalled the “ATENS” program. This new partnership will be initiated by TogoleseMinisters of Justice, Agriculture, Social Affairs, Finance, Health, Public Works,Commerce and Public Administration.

The program builds on HEC Paris AGORA programs which aim at developing a newculture of management and public administration within the administrative body of a statein Africa.

These programs represent a true breakthrough with two main objectives:

“Developing an efficient and credible, yet caring, administrative body”, reinforcing themanagerial abilities of every manager and executive whilst encouraging dialogue betweenthe public and private sectors.

“Placing individuals at the heart of the administrative system” in order to raise standardsin terms of quality, morality and professional ethics towards the employees, users andcitizens.

“Through its customized and collaborative approach, HEC Paris encourages dialoguebetween the public and private sectors, taking into account the economic, political, socialand cultural environment of the country,” states Bertrand Moingeon, Deputy Dean ofHEC Paris, in charge of Executive Education and Academic Development.

HEC Paris and Africa:
HEC Paris welcomes approximately 150 Africans from all over the continent to the MScGrande Ecole, Specialized Masters, MBA and Global EMBA TRIUM programs. Africanstudents represent nearly 8% of Grande Ecole students and actively participate in makingthe campus a global forum.

For the second year running, a group of MBA participants have worked in Senegal withstudents from Wharton Lauder and the Institut Supérieur de Management of Dakar on adevelopment project for St Louis town, Senegal.

HEC Paris has developed custom-designed training programs throughout the Africancontinent since the 1970s. Executive Education programs, such as the Cotton Universityin Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina- Faso, and the MIRI program in Côte d’Ivoire, are aimed atpublic administration, trade associations, international companies and agriculturalbusiness.

350 HEC graduates currently work on the African continent.
