Thierry Foucault, professor of finance at HEC, has received the EIF (Europlace Institute of Finance) award for best finance paper for two articles published in 2008:

The first, "Stock Price Informativeness, Cross-Listings and Investment Decisions", was written in collaboration with Thomas Gehrig (Freiburg University) and published in the Journal of Financial Economics.The second, "Competition for Order Flow and Smart Order Routing Systems" with Albert Menkveld, Vrije Universiteit, was published in the Journal of Finance.

This prize is awarded by the EIF Scientific Committee to a researcher who is working in France and who has published a finance article in a scientific journal in the year preceding the award.

In addition to this new recognition, Thierry Foucault has received several awards in recent years for his research, including the "Best Young Researcher Award in Finance”, awarded by the Scientific Committee of the Europlace Institute of Finance (2005) and two “Prix de la Fondation HEC” (2006 and 2009).
