Laure Célérier is a PhD candidate in Accounting at HEC Paris. Through an analysis of the implementation of internal auditing in French State control services, Laure studies New Public Management reforms and the rise of internal auditing in a context of financialization; she also examines how different control practices are related to distinct ways of legitimizing and exercising State power. She also has an interest in issues of participatory democracy.Before coming to HEC, she has been a teacher in economics and sociology at the University of Paris 2 and University of Paris 12 (among other institutions). She holds a Master of Research in economic governance from Sciences Po Paris and an agrégation of economics and social sciences that she prepared at the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon (France).
