The PhD program is based on an integrated curriculum:

  • It provides students with training in methodology and theoretical courses, which will be essential for their thesis,

  • An opportunity to work as a research assistant,

  • The possibility for them to join an international university for a semester or two.

It recruits students with a Master Degree.

During the first year, students follow a demanding and rigorous training program that prepares them for research. They choose one of HEC’s specializations and prepare their dissertation project.

Human Resources & Organization
Strategy & Management

The following three years are devoted to:

  • Preparing the thesis : theory, model, methodology, research protocol ;

  • Empirical work : data compilation, interviews, surveys, analyses and tests, observations ;

  • Drafting the thesis ;

  • Defending and discussing the PhD dissertation (all dissertations are available at the library).

HEC is part of a doctoral school within the University of Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne.

HEC has developed partnerships with prestigious academic institutions in Paris:

  • Research Master APE "Analyse et Politique Économiques"offered together with EHESS, ENPC, ENS, ENSAE, EP,

  • Research Master ETOS " Evolutions Technologiques et Organisationnelles" in collaboration with the University of Versailles, Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines,

  • Research Master "Organisation Appliquée" in partnership with the University of Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne.
