HEC offers a wide range of educational activities on the practice of Entrepreneurship, to inspire and build skills and to spread the spirit of enterprise within all program participants.

Entrepreneurship and venture capital rank highly among HEC students’ areas of interest.
In return, HEC provides the educational programs, environment and opportunities most conducive to the success of students interested in this field. Entrepreneurial themes are woven throughout the curriculum of HEC academic programs.

In addition, student events and club activities reflect the increasingly entrepreneurial climate in France and abroad.

@ HEC- Entrepreneurs

HEC Entrepreneur is both a specialized master dedicated to young French and international graduates and a specialization for HEC Master of Science students in their third year.
HEC-Entrepreneurs’ objective is to train graduates to be immediately operational entrepreneurs, capable of taking over a company, of starting a new firm or of acting as a strategic consultant qualifying for a rapid promotion as a manager.

Since its creation in 1977, HEC Entrepreneurs has graduated more than 1000 participants of which half occupy senior management positions and a quarter work abroad

@ HEC – Polytechnique partnership
In 2002 HEC Entrepreneurs established an academic partnership with Ecole Polytechnique by launching a seminar on how to create an innovative company.
This seminar trains students in the different stages of creating an enterprise. It helps them understand how to produce a project correctly and gives them a taste for undertaking one.
The work concerns critical studies of an innovating enterprise or of an innovating project.

@ Specialized Master in Digital Business Management

This pioneering one-year program seeks to provide a decisive advantage to students planning a career in digital business strategy. The innovative alliance between a business management school and a telecommunications school, both leaders in their fields, is designed to bring together the know-how needed to succeed in NTIC Business.

@ MBA Program: entrepreneur track, company project, elective and Business Plan Workshops

During the second part of the curriculum, each MBA participant’s career objective is addressed by way of specialized areas of concentration.
Selecting a personalized track in one of the areas of expertise offered enables each MBA participant to develop a professional project and increase his or her knowledge in a selected area.

In the Entrepreneur track, tools and methods dedicated to the management of growth in a "human sized" business environment (startups and business units) are explored to optimize the leadership and operational vision of the participants. This is more specifically targeted towards operational managers, consultants and venture capitalists.
The Company Consulting Projects track is an opportunity to work as consultants and to complete a company consulting project which aims at achieving a defined strategic/operational objective. Participants work on the basis of a 4 to 5 participant team, coached and supervised by a faculty member and a mentor in the company. Issues and team recommendations are shared with other participants via progress reports back on campus.
The Business Plan Workshop’s aim is to enhance and apply methods and concepts taught in the “Business Plan: Design and Funding” elective. It is designed for HEC MBA participants who want to put what they learn into practice by focusing on the development of a real Business Plan.

@ HEC-Start-Up Institute’s objective is to train entrepreneurs and project managers in the fundamental knowledge of entrepreneurship.
There are two existing cycles of training:

“Challenge + ”
training/action cycle created in 1990, a forerunner in the subject. It is intended for the early-stage companies working on innovative projects with strong potential and growth.

P3Mil, training for entrepreneurs housed in the network of “Pépinieres d’Ile de France”. This cycle of training/action (10 days + coaching), is intended for all types of entrepreneurs.

Provaluor®, an innovative program launched in 2004 by Michel Santi, Professor at HEC’s strategy and business policy department and Véronique Nguyen HEC alumni, is a “professional assistant”, a self assessment tool, based on both the modern management concepts and venture capital fund practices. The program is dedicated to project holders and investors allowing them to self-assess the quality of their project and to pinpoint areas for improvement. The program is bilingual, confidential, professional, user friendly and easy to access.
