HEC Paris Again Tops EMBA Programs: 2023 QS Rankings
With the release of the QS EMBA Rankings for 2023, HEC Paris comes out as the top program for the second time in three years.
The QS Executive MBA Rankings, which scrutinized more than 200 global programs via a battery of stringent metrics, has named the HEC Paris Executive MBA Program the world’s best.
Top marks across the board
The HEC Paris EMBA scored in the top percentile of schools worldwide, earning an overall score of 95.9 out of a possible 100 points, three points better in total than last year’s result. HEC Paris’s performance was superior to the 99thpercentile globally.
This year's iteration of the QS report, known for its meticulous methodology, analyzed 227 Executive MBA programs in 49 countries, making it the most comprehensive evaluation to date. Utilizing various techniques, the report synthesized surveys from 61,870 global employers and 48,378 academics, resulting in the creation of 9 key indicators.
Methodology highlights
The QS report singled out the HEC Paris EMBA program for shining in the “thought leadership,” “career outcomes,” and “employer reputation” indicator groups.
The thought leadership indicator is derived from a process in which QS collects votes from academics in more than 60 countries around the world. Each academic has given their opinion on universities and business schools and their nominations are weighted by relevance of expertise to form the academic reputation score.
The employer reputation indicator is derived from a survey asking hundreds of thousands of global employers in recent years about the schools from which they prefer to hire graduates.
HEC Paris also ranked amongst the elite in the category of “career outcomes,” earning 97.9 out of 100 points, more than five full points higher than last year’s result. This rating factors in average salary increase and the percentage of graduates receiving promotions within 12 months of completing the program.
