Frédéric Jousset to Succeed Emmanuel Chain as HEC Paris Alumni President
Webhelp cofounder and President Frédéric Jousset has been nominated to succeed at the head of HEC Paris Alumni network, one of Europe’s largest.
An HEC graduate himself (1992), Jousset takes over the mantle from TV producer Emmanuel Chain (H85), who has been overseeing the 55,000-strong organization since 2015.
48-year-old Jousset has helped Webhelp become one of Europe’s most successful business process outsourcing companies since he co-created the firm in 2000. He has also worked at L’Oréal and Bain & Company. As a former Chairman of the Board of the Ecole nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts, Jousset shares a passion for contemporary art, both as a collector and a critic, and currently presides the Beaux Arts & Cie group. He is also known for his sporting exploits, both running marathons in under 3 hours 40 minutes and climbing some of the world’s highest mountains.
As such, this hi-tech enthusiast is keen to scale the exciting challenge of both consolidating and expanding HEC’s 135-year-old Alumni network. At the top of his agenda could be the installation of HEC Factory in Paris and the expansion of the business school’s affirmative action programs. Jousset was nominated during the June 11 HEC Alumni General Assembly.
This was also the occasion to honor the 2018 HEC Alumnus of the Year Award, attributed to the cofounder of Doctolib, Stanislas Niox-Château. This online booking platform for doctors was one of the top five investments made in a French startup last year. Founded in 2013, Doctolib has expanded beyond France into Germany.
