Summer Student Story
Participating in this Summer Program has undoubtedly been a fantastic opportunity that has significantly enriched both my professional and personal development.
As a French-Spanish student at IE University, I have always had a strong interest in entrepreneurship within an international framework, which is why I chose to take this course. Without a doubt HEC holds a distinguished reputation as a globally recognized business school. I had the privilege of interacting with individuals from diverse nationalities, which provided an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas and capture global visions, providing a true immersion in the "world coffee" effect.
The first day we were warmly welcomed by the HEC Paris team led by Professor Jeremy Ghez, who, like a talented orchestra director, led us to the profound realization: the world is undergoing never before seen changes. To spice things up, we were given the task of selecting a company that would serve as the core of our final project. We needed to grasp those changes and how they were occurring. But perhaps more importantly, our goal was to find solutions for our company while adapting to the large changes.
The most difficult challenge was coming up with a long-term strategy for our company while respecting one of the most important values of the French education: synthesize! The final result was possible thanks to all the motivation and dedication behind it and the great interest of Jeremy who guided me throughout this adventure. What I take away from this experience is that one must always be resilient and that asking the right people can be the solution to our problems.
This experience at HEC Paris will be key in my professional development. It has opened new doors for me and will continue to do so thanks to the hard and soft skills I was able to acquire in class, as well as the people I had the opportunity to meet and work with!
