HEC Eurasia Institute is a think tank on Asian business based at the HEC School of Management. It provides a range of services designed to assist European companies develop their long-range strategy in the Asian market. Since its establishment by Jacques Gravereau in 1988, the Institute has earned growing recognition for its independent, authoritative judgement, expertise and knowledge of the area.

The Institute’s services, carried out in close partnership with leading European and Asian companies, include four main kinds of knowledge-based support:

  • Intelligence monitoring of economic, political and sector-based data
  • Networking of business with local partners and assistance in negotiations;
  • Analysis and development of company strategies in area markets;
  • Human resources and cross-cultural management support, such as management training, including an Asian-language option, expatriate briefings, and teambuilding programs.

The Institute also organizes information and debate forums and publishes a monthly newsletter and regular surveys as further means to help clients decipher the complexity of the Asian business world.

HEC faculty consultants are selected for their corporate experience, proficiency in the main Asian languages and academic excellence. The Institute has liaison offices in Tokyo, Beijing, Hong Kong and Bangkok (covering South-East Asia), as well as correspondents in all large East Asia cities.
