Candidature

In complex, ever-changing environments, there is an increasing focus on project-based organization, and project management skills are becoming a key factor in corporate competitiveness in all sectors.

This shift goes hand in hand with an increased role and professionalisation of project managers in companies. Projects are taking on an increasingly essential place, leading to a breathtaking boom in job vacancies in the field in the last few years. HEC School of Management Paris and the ISAE (formed by the merger between SUPAERO and ENSICA), on the strength of their excellence and know-how in engineering and management, anticipated this trend a few years ago by setting up a specialized course to learn the principles, methods and practices of project management.

Project management means building a team around a clearly-identified objective and ensuring compliance with quality, cost and lead-time targets by constantly anticipating the action to be taken. It means understanding, mastering and combining a wide variety of disciplines, such as marketing, finance, purchasing, corporate strategy, innovation management, human resources and team building, not to forget quality, scheduling techniques, risk management and investment choices, etc. In all these disciplines, the two institutions working together on this course have the experts needed to offer a course of the highest academic and operational standards. They are both widely recognized for their excellence, their close relations with multinational corporations and their international partnerships.

Thanks in particular to a Pedagogical Committee including renowned project management professionals, the course has constantly evolved since its creation to keep up with changes in the project management approaches used in companies. The Large Project Management Specialized Master is a reference in project management and provides the right training for all project participants whether they are managers, design engineers, purchasers, financiers or marketing managers.
