The MS Large project management Specialized Master comprises 8 months of classes, in-company assignments, a 4 to 6-month placement and writing and presenting a professional thesis.
Courses
In-company assignment
During their course, students carry out an in-company consulting assignment alternating with their classes at HEC (from January to May). This assignment is presented to a panel comprising company managers and professors from the campus. It places students in a professional context from an early stage, requiring them to use their diagnostic, analytical and creative abilities, as well as to be organized and autonomous. The assignment is generally carried out in pairs, and therefore places the students in a teamwork environment.
Examples of assignments:
• Writing a report on Public-Private Partnerships in the water sector in poor or transitional zones
• Contributing to finalizing a new product development process (detailed process, deliverable packaging, standard lead times) and assisting in its roll-out among company staff
• International roll-out of the APF Accounting Platform
The professional thesis, the culmination of the program:
Students reflect on a chosen issue, and apply field observation as well as theoretical research in order to develop the field of skills they wish to evolve towards. In doing so, they will also provide an active contribution to the company in which their mission has been carried out. Every year, the HEC Foundation rewards the best professional thesis.
