
The
Management and Human Resources Department offers courses within
the different programs at HEC, with lectures given in both French
and English. A large number of specialized fields are taught in
the department, including: organization theories, human resources
management, intercultural management, international management,
developing managerial skills, psychoanalysis and organization.
These courses are often conducted in liaison with other fields
of management (strategy, management control and industrial and
logistical management). The Management and Human Resources Department
is widely involved in different teaching initiatives, setting up
a multidisciplinary approach. The teaching staff is made up of
10 permanent professors, 1 affiliated professor and a number of
temporary staff.
The
department is greatly involved in international research.
Many
students from all over the world are taken on and trained by
the department within the framework of the Doctorate
School, in order to help them complete management theses
in our specialized areas.
Through
its research activities, the department is influential in the
French-speaking research world:
- Georges Trepo, President of the AGRH (Francophone Association
of Management and Human Resources),
- Jacqueline Laufer, co-director of the MAGE (CNRS) Research
Group: "Gender and the Labor Market".
The
department has a strong presence on the international scene by
its professors published works and participation in international
conferences : Gilles Amado, editor in chief of the Revue International
de Psychosociologie and chair person at the 2001 congress of
International Society for the Psychoanalytic Study of Organization
(IPSOS) at Jouy en Josas.
