RESEARCH AT HEC

HEC School of Management is committed to develop knowledge and techniques in management. Active involvement of HEC professors in research guarantees that courses remain abreast of latest findings in management science. A vibrant research environment also contributes to make HEC a place of choice for the best professors in management. Finally, research excellence contributes to HEC international reputation.

As a sign of this commitment, HEC has witnessed a quick growth in international publications, which now represent about two-third of all publications by the school researchers. Research conducted by HEC faculty is regularly published in the most prestigious and selective journals in management. These journals select articles, not only for path-breaking findings, but also for their ability to influence management practices.

HEC professors are also actively involved in other facets of research dissemination. For instance, they are regularly invited to present their research in international conferences or in seminars. They also actively participate to the evaluation of articles submitted to international journals in Management (either as referees or as member of editorial boards). Finally they supervise HEC doctoral students.

Last but not least, HEC hosts a CNRS lab called "GREGHEC" (Groupe de Recherche et d'Etudes en Gestion à HEC) since January 2004. The CNRS (National Center for Scientific Research) is the French public agency for scientific research. The members of this lab are some HEC faculty members and researchers from CNRS. As for now, HEC is the only French business school to have this association with the CNRS. HEC views this collaboration as a great opportunity to strengthen its links with French researchers in management.
