Innovation, intellectual vigor, internationalism:
the HEC way

HEC continues to expand its international presence and welcome a large number of students from outside France. It is our ambition to create a dynamic academic program which attracts the most talented individuals from around the world and a working environment which ensures that they are able to draw the greatest possible benefit from their time with us. Two innovations highlighted in this edition were developed with this goal in mind.

The first, the introduction of a part-time MBA, is testament to our willingness to make our well-established, highly-respected MBA program available to a wider audience. The course of study, which can be completed during weekends and evenings over two or three years, is designed to fit the schedule of talented managers who require the advanced skills of an MBA but cannot break from their career to become full-time students. This expansion of our teaching program will also provide our full-time MBA candidates with greater flexibility.

Secondly, in addition to the English language tracks already available in our different programs, we are introducing an English track to our Executive MBA. Opening our acclaimed EMBA program to non-French-speaking executives expands our international reach and reinforces the critical international dimension of the program.

HEC's standing on the international stage is strengthened by the presence of many former PhD students at top academic institutions around the world. By reaching out to the world and encouraging mobility, HEC is able to help its community of doctoral candidates to achieve their full potential.

We are also encouraging our Master of Science students to broaden their horizons by expanding the HEC Global Exchange Program, which allows talented students to benefit from a full year of study in one of our respected partner institutions.

Finally, we are international in the way we share the expertise we have built over the 125 years since the school was founded. HEC is honored to have been selected as the privileged European partner in Russia's National Priority Program in Education, which is working to develop world-class business education opportunities at the St. Petersburg University Graduate School of Management (GSOM). Having previously cooperated with GSOM on the EMBA and GEP programs, we are now cooperating on faculty exchange, joint research and executive education.

These are just some of the highlights of another successful academic year. I hope you enjoy reading about these examples of innovation, intellectual vigor and internationalism, which are the trademarks of HEC today.
