Gerard Baglin graduated from HEC Schools of Management (Paris) and holds a Master in Law.
Gerard Baglin is currently Associate Professor of Operation Management and Information Technology at HEC Paris – Schools of Management.
He has been teaching, researching and consulting in the field of operations management, supply chain management, logistics, purchasing, and applied quantitative methods. He is in charge of several executive development programs and part-time master programs in purchasing and supply chain management. He also taught in different countries (China, Viet-Nam, Indonesia, Russia and Iran).
His competencies cover manufacturing strategy, logistics, purchasing, distribution, supply chain management, and information systems in manufacturing and service activities. He has a thorough knowledge of computer usage in industrial settings.
He published several books (Management Industriel et Logistique, L’entreprise Lean Production, Lean Services, L’entreprise étendue et le développement des fournisseurs).
He is the author of the educational software Prelude which objective is the understanding of the ERP concepts and which is used by more than 300 schools over the world.
