Sustainable development has become a major concern for companies around the world.
With the introduction of new laws (including that of May 2001 on New Economic Regulations), the multiplication of socially responsible or so-called “ethical” investment funds, and pressure from consumers or NGOs, firms have increasingly moved towards sustainable development.
This trend, which is still gathering momentum, has led to a change in paradigm, to a major cultural shift involving all aspects of the company, from marketing and development to advertising, sales and customer service. Companies are therefore on the lookout for managers who understand sustainable development’s major challenges and principles.
