Program overview

 

Corporate finance plays an essential role in organizations, as decisions in this area generally have an impact on strategic orientations, industrial facilities, and human capital. The effort required and the expected results need to be quantified. This high-level program in corporate finance and management control focuses primarily on the value creation process, the financial dimension of strategic decisions, as well as managing and measuring performance.

The program is aimed at:

Executives working in banks and financial institutions, entrepreneurs and company directors, management controllers, treasurers, risk managers, auditors, chartered accountants, and lawyers.

Prerequisites : A minimum level of knowledge in accounting, particularly in the different accounting statements of the company, is required for the GEMM Finance program.

The GEMM program and its specialized major

The program is composed of 3 Executive Certificates and a professional thesis

Executive Certificate MUST Management d’une Unité Stratégique 

This program will enable current and future directors and board members to master all the necessary tools to define and implement the strategy of their Business Unit.

Executive Certificate Business Performance Management

This certificate has been specifically designed for international managers who want to acquire a more in-depth understanding of a key process for the company, that of business performance management in all its facets and for all sizes of companies.

Executive Certificate Finance d’Entreprise

The aim of this Certificate program is to enable each participant to analyze the financial performance (both past and future) of a company and to understand and implement corporate valuation techniques.

Writing and defending a professional thesis, with the support of an HEC Paris tutor, concludes the program.

Majors Exclusive Feature: 

To apply the knowledge acquired at the end of the program, participants will develop a professional action plan related to their activity, under the supervision of a professor at HEC Paris.

Learning Methods

 

Academic presentations, conferences and debates, teamwork in sub-groups sub-group work, case studies, personalized support, plenary sessions, and a focus on the real-life professional situations experienced by the participants in their companies.

The participants carry out a strategic and financial diagnosis of a company (with the support of a tutor), an action plan on the performance management system of their activity (with the support of a mentor) and a professional thesis (tutored by an HEC Paris professor).
