Biography
Woo-Jin Chang is an Associate Professor of Accounting & Management Control at HEC Paris.
Before joining HEC Paris, he worked for INSEAD for six years as an assistant professor and taught financial accounting courses in MBA and Master in Finance program. He received his Ph.D. in Accounting from Columbia Business School. He passed the CPA exam in Korea and the U.S.A. and practiced as an auditor and consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers (Samil Accounting Corporation) in Korea. His consulting activities include financial advisory services, firm valuation, and the establishment of a transfer pricing system. He also served as a CPA officer at the Ministry of National Defense in Korea.
Woo-Jin’s research interests focus on financial accounting areas: economic consequences of the regulatory change in accounting; valuation and financial statement analysis; and the role of accounting information in firm valuation and executive compensation.
