Mazars bernheim prize 2016

MIF students Liudvikas Galvanauskas and Francesco Ruta win the Bernheim Prize.

Mazars awarded the Bernheim prize 2016 for the best thesis to two students from the HEC Paris MSc in International Finance.
Virginie Chauvin, Partner and Head of Banking Audit at Mazars France made a vibrant speech highlighting the great partnership between HEC Paris and Mazars.

Liudvikas Galvanauskas (MSc International Finance, Class of 2015) received the first prize for his thesis on "Quantifying investors' attention: Search queries and tweets based sentiment", under the direction of Patrick Legland. Commenting on his prize win, Liudvikas said “I am deeply honored to receive this prestigious award from such an esteemed firm - Mazars. Knowing that my efforts have been deemed worthy of such merit motivates me to continue to strive for excellence in my professional pursuits. I am very grateful to Prof. Legland for his excellent guidance throughout the whole process, which resulted in such a great outcome.”

Francesco Ruta (MiM Grande Ecole, International Finance specialization, Class of 2016) received the second prize for his dissertation on "Construction Methodologies for Implied Volatility Surfaces", under the direction of Olivier Bossard.

Olivier Bossard declared, “Liudvikas and Francesco made us very proud with the hard work and commitment that they demonstrated throughout their study year. It is a great honor to teach and guide such talented minds.”
