Outstanding fundraising effort at the HEC Gala
For the 2nd edition of the HEC Gala, the entire HEC community came together at the Palais Brongniart to take part in a lavish gala evening. A moment of conviviality, which was also the occasion for a wonderful show of generosity; an auction and a call for donations to the HEC Foundation raised the record amount of €840,000 in pledges!
On April 21, Alumni, donors, students, partner companies and HEC friends, in addition to representatives of the School, the Association, the Foundation and the Chamber of Commerce came together for the second edition of the HEC Alumni Gala.
The evening opened with a striking address by Jean-Paul Agon (H.78), the new President of the HEC Paris Administration Board, on the transitions and upheavals the world is currently experiencing, which, in his view, compel all organizations, whether companies or our School, to implement profound change.
Later in the evening, Laurent Dametougle (H.23), a Foundation scholarship student, gave a speech which was both moving and humorous and was warmly applauded by the community.
This was also a historical event for our community, thanks to a generous show of support for the HEC Foundation from the 90-plus guests at the venue. An auction expertly hosted by Adrien Nussenbaum (H.01) and Christie’s auction house raised €840,000 in pledges which will provide an enormous boost to our HEC Imagine Fellows project.
