Participate
S&O is pleased to announce the organization of the 11th EIASM workshop on Top Management Teams and Business Strategy Research, on March 26-27, 2020 on the HEC campus. This year, the workshop will be co-organized by HEC, S&O member, Professor Georg Wernicke and will focus on Strategic Leadership for Sustainability and Social Responsability.
Top executives are among the most important decision-makers influencing the strategy and performance of their organizations. The series of EIASM Workshops on Top Management Teams and Business Strategy was initiated as a specialized and focused forum where researchers can engage in constructive discussions about the relationship among Top Management Teams and the ability of firms to strategically respond to the challenges they face, as well as finding new opportunities for research collaborations.
THEME : Strategic Leadership for Sustainability and Social Responsibility
The workshop features keynotes, panels, and paper discussion sessions. Specifically, Abhinav Gupta (University of Washington) will reflect in his keynote on the organizational implications of political ideologies on corporate governance, corporate social responsibility and social activism. Corine Post (Lehigh University) will speak on the impact of organizational elites on their organizations’ environmental and social performance.
In a featured panel session, Rodolphe Durand (HEC Paris) will discuss overarching challenges for strategic leadership in times when top managers are increasingly expected to improve their firms’ social and environmental performance.
The workshop will offer plenty of networking opportunities for strategic leadership researchers.
The program will begin on March 26th, 2020 at around 9 AM and end on March 27th at around 5 PM.
A welcome reception will take place on March 25th in the late afternoon (participation is not mandatory).
