Studying abroad at HEC provides you with the opportunity to develop key analytical and problem-solving skills.

One aspect of studying at HEC, which, in particular, stands out to me, is the approach to learning. Unlike in other universities, where the emphasis is on learning through independent study, HEC seeks to combines individual learning with more practical group work in a highly academic environment. This approach enables you to further your study of Business from a different perspective, equipping you with a better insight and understanding of how businesses, teams and, more generally, societies operate and the difficulties faced by them.

As important as this is, what really sets HEC apart are the students who study here. HEC attracts students who share similar interests in learning about how the world works. These students, all of whom are intellectually curious and have strong academic records, come from diverse backgrounds and each have a wide variety of talents, skills and perspectives that they bring with them. Recognising (and celebrating) these differences through our everyday interactions as well as through different societies’ events, helps to foster a sense of community at HEC, where everyone feels encouraged to contribute and that their inputs are valued.

As is the case with most things in life, what you get out of HEC is only as much as what you put in. By embracing what HEC has to offer: the world-class teaching, the different societies, the campus’ close proximity to Paris and the opportunity to immerse yourself in everyday French life and culture, it allows for what can be a rewarding experience academically, socially and culturally.
