Andrea Masini takes over as Head of the HEC Paris MBA

Andrea Masini has been named Dean of the HEC Paris MBA by the General Director of the school, Peter Todd.

Having graduated as a mechanical engineer, Andrea Masini holds a PhD in management from INSEAD, and taught at the London Business School before joining HEC in September 2010.

For Andrea Masini, “The HEC MBA is unquestionably a reference model, with high-level teaching delivered by internationally renowned professors, a diverse profile of students, capped off professionally by a structured network of graduates who are active throughout the world. This position presents me with a new challenge that I am sure can be accomplished with motivation and commitment”.

His research focuses on the operational and organizational impact of technological innovations, renewable energies, and sustainable development. His works have been published in some of the most prestigious scientific journals, such as M&SOM, Journal of Operations Management and Energy Policy.
He teaches on the MBA and PhD programs, as well as teaching executives and managers in through Executive Education. Moreover, he is regularly consulted by private and public bodies on projects linked to the optimization of process, information systems and technological innovation.

Andrea Masini takes over from Bernard Garrette, whose 5 year mandate comes to an end on December 31st
“Bernard Garrette has carried out a lot of great work at the head of the MBA, as much on an academic level as on a personal one”, underlines Peter Todd. “Under his direction, the international renown of the program has been reinforced, in the same way as the quality and implementation of the curriculum. HEC Paris owes him an awful lot”.

The HEC Paris MBA is one of the leading MBAs in the world, and was ranked first in Europe by The Economist  in 2014 and 2015.
