The Tookets, a third sector currency

E.Rize, 17 January 2016

[AMO Publication] «Tookets » is the name of both a currency and a cooperative society of collective interests, that were created with the purpose of enabling a new practice of sponsorship.

At first, a company issues tookets, that are distributed to its customers and/or employees, as part of a program (such as a loyalty program). Then, individuals have the possibility to freely allocate tookets to one or several associations, chosen from a basket of pre-selected organisations, made by the issuing company. Associations can finally ask the issuing company to convert their tookets into euros. Tookets is a local solidarity initiative, that consists in bringing closer three key actors of a same territory: companies, individuals and associations.
