Daouda Coulibaly, a graduate of HEC Paris (H96) and Managing Director of Société Ivoirienne des Banques (SIB), is involved in the HEC Paris Alumni Association in Côte d'Ivoire, which he has chaired since 2010.

daouda

To reward his sustained efforts, Nathalie Lugagne, Deputy Director - HEC Executive Education, presented him with a special award at the inauguration of the Office in Abidjan. Daouda Coulibaly worked for the opening of the HEC Paris Office for West and Central Africa in the Ivorian capital and is the school's ambassador to the Ivorian authorities. He also coordinates the alumni community on a daily basis, organizing regular meetings and activities. It is a dynamic, proactive group that embodies and shares the values of HEC Paris.

My time at HEC Paris was a real turning point in my life. It gave my career a new lease of life. I acquired high-level managerial skills that have enabled me to head one of the largest banks in Côte d'Ivoire. I am therefore proud to be able to represent the school and share my experience. I thank HEC Paris for this award, which encourages me to maintain my momentum." - Daouda Coulibaly.

This hat is particularly close to his heart. Daouda has adopted and enhanced to HEC Paris' slogan, "The more you know, the more you dare". He enthusiastically adds "and the more you share" – indeed, he not only shares his passion for HEC Paris with his fellow alumni from Côte d'Ivoire but also with the Ivorian population more generally. As soon as he was appointed in 2010, he set about relaunching the association, which only had 18 members at its end. To achieve this relaunch, he increased relevant social and professional activities in order to create a lasting bond within the community. Since the arrival of Daouda Coulibaly, the community of alumni in Côte d'Ivoire has more than tripled.

HEC Paris Alumni Côte d'Ivoire is one of the most dynamic alumni associations on the continent. In fact, 10% of the HEC Paris alumni in Africa are from the Côte d'Ivoire. This alumni association brings together rich and varied profiles.
